• A Wellness Exam allows for a complete assessment of a patient and the opportunity to evaluate their health. A complete history during the wellness visit includes information about health history, prior screenings, diet, sleep, dental care, and medical, surgical, family, and social histories. A full-body examination is performed, and immunizations are reviewed and updated as appropriate.

  Choose an age range for the patient:

  StartAge 5-17  Age 18-74  Age 75+
  • Many insurance companies cover this type of visit at no cost to you. However, during the exam if we treat any other condition, either chronic or acute, including prescribing medications, your insurance may require additional payment for that care. If additional co-payment, co-insurance, or deductible is required by your insurance company, you will be responsible for this additional amount.

    This exam is a great way to get up-to-date on important screenings and immunizations as well as to talk with your provider about family medical history and how to stay healthy. See the Guide to Medicare Preventive Services.

    Medicare does not cover treatment of chronic health problems or acute illness during this exam. Your wellness exam may have to be rescheduled if you have more prominent medical issues to be addressed when you arrive. If we do provide treatment at this visit for a chronic condition or illness, you will be responsible for your coinsurance payment.
