Angleton Danbury Campus Celebrating Five Years as UTMB Health

Happy anniversary to the UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus!

Five years ago, UTMB began its partnership with what was originally established as the Angleton Danbury General Hospital. Serving more than 60,000 people in the Brazoria County region, the campus and all of the people who work there are an amazing, integral part of our UTMB family, and proud to serve a thriving, engaged and supportive community.

2019

In five years, UTMB Health invested more than $5 million in medical equipment and upgrades for the Angleton Danbury Campus including X-ray equipment, CT scanning facilities, patient beds, fetal monitors, defibrillators and more.

September 2019

For the third consecutive year, UTMB Health was named a winner of the prestigious 2019 Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award, one of 11 academic health science centers in the U.S. to be recognized for quality patient care.

September 2019

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) educational and fun classes began on the Angleton Danbury Campus for ages 55+.

August 2019

The Angleton Danbury Campus celebrated its 5th anniversary as part of the UTMB Health family. During these five years, the Angleton Danbury Campus added 35 physicians and 14 clinics.

The Angleton Danbury Hospital District and the Auxiliary celebrated 50 years of service.

2019

The Angleton Danbury Hospital District announced the purchase of 177 acres to expand clinical space.

2018

UTMB Health opened a Neurology Clinic at Angleton Danbury Campus.

2017

UTMB Health opened the first Urgent Care/After-Hours walk in clinic in Angleton.

2016

The Surgical Specialties Clinic opened, providing surgical services for general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology and vascular surgery.

2016

The first designated trauma facility in Brazoria County, Angleton Danbury Campus, was recertified as a Level IV Trauma Facility.

2015

Family Practice Associates of Angleton joined UTMB Health and was renamed UTMB Health Family Medicine, Angleton.

2015

The Brazos Bone and Joint Clinic joined UTMB Health and was renamed UTMB Health Orthopedic Clinic, Angleton.

2015

Launched MyChart, a secure online tool for patients to access medical records.

December
2014

The Lake Jackson Pediatric Clinic joined UTMB Health and was renamed UTMB Health Pediatric Primary Care Clinic.

August
2014

Integration of UTMB and the Angleton Danbury Medical Center began. The Angleton Danbury Medical Center became UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus.

The University of Texas Board of Regents and the Angleton Danbury Hospital District Board of Directors announced to move forward with a formal relationship between the hospital district and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
