UTMB Health is to dedicated to the prevention and treatment of respiratory
diseases, and through our clinical, educational, and research missions,
we hope to achieve these goals.
We provide comprehensive
diagnosis and management for a broad range of respiratory diseases, offer outstanding clinical care for patients
with respiratory disorders, and serve as a resource to regional
physicians who share in the care of patients with respiratory diseases.
We offer comprehensive outpatient services throughout the area. Our three sleep laboratories are located on the Galveston and Angleton Danbury campuses,
with another convenient center in Webster.
Our inpatient services
include pulmonary consultations, and critical care services delivered in
our medical and surgical intensive care units (ICUs).
We offer broad based expertise in:
- respiratory diseases
- chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease
(COPD; emphysema and chronic bronchitis)
- lung cancer
- lung infections
- pulmonary fibrosis
- pulmonary hypertension.
Diagnostic services
include a comprehensive pulmonary function laboratory, including
exercise capability, a modern and well-equipped suite for flexible
bronchoscopy, and two sleep laboratories.
