Christine Wade selected as fellow with the Carol Emmott Foundation

Christine Wade, vice president of Perioperative and Procedural Services at The University of Texas Medical Branch, has recently been accepted as a fellow with the Carol Emmott Fellowship.

An extensive 14-month program designed to elevate women leaders in health care by providing them a platform to expand their visibility while equipping them with mentorship, professional networks and resources to address complex industry issues, the fellowship is in its ninth year.

Fellows are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to improving health equity and their potential to effect systemic change within their organizations and beyond.

“Having the chance to participate in this opportunity with the Carol Emmott Foundation is an absolute privilege,” said Wade. “I’m excited for all that’s to come and look forward to sharing the knowledge I gain with my UTMB peers and the communities we serve.”

Wade is one of 24 selected for the program that launched at the start of 2025.

Stephanie Guzik, UTMB vice president and chief of staff, was a recent fellow with the organization’s 2024 cohort.

A full list of the 2025 fellows and more information regarding the fellowship are available on the Carol Emmott Fellowship website.
