HEC awarded full accreditation from simulation in healthcare society

The Health Education Center at the University of Texas Medical Branch has been awarded full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Widely recognized as the gold standard in health care simulation, the accreditation acknowledges UTMB's exceptional performance in this vital aspect of healthcare education and  training.

UTMB achieved accreditation by meeting the Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s rigorous standards in the Core, Teaching/Education, and Assessment domains. This prestigious accreditation makes UTMB the first institution in the University of Texas System to earn recognition in all three categories, joining the top 10 percent of simulation centers in the United States accredited at this level.

The Health Education Center, a 161,000 square foot, five story state-of-the-art simulation facility, is known for its innovative educational programs. This accreditation further solidifies its position as a leader in health care simulation and highlights its dedication to providing the highest quality education to future healthcare professionals.
